Ellen Lessem – Legal Assistant
Compassionate. Experienced. Paralegal.
A former colleague once described me as being a “tremendous ambassador for the legal profession.” I pride myself on being the attorneys’ right hand at the firm of Aldous \ Walker. As a legal assistant, I am extremely dedicated to my job and, in particular, to our clients. I help our attorneys ensure that our clients receive the advocacy they deserve.
I was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and majored in pre-med at Cleveland State University. Upon moving to Dallas in 1983, I began working in the legal business as a receptionist for a small law firm. My passionate desire to learn enabled me to quickly move up the ranks and become an assistant to one of the firm’s two partners.
Experience & Background
Over the last 25 years, I have worked on both sides of the docket in almost every facet of the law, including:
My first love remains plaintiff’s personal injury / medical malpractice litigation. I am passionate about helping people. I believe in the importance of the legal system in holding individuals and corporations responsible for the damage they cause. When we hold others accountable for their actions, we create a safer world for each other.
In my personal life, my husband of more than 30 years and I are the proud parents of two grown children. Our daughter is a mechanical engineer, and our son serves in the United States military.
