The case involves Carlos Rojas, who was working a job hanging Christmas lights when he fell from a ladder and broke his leg, requiring surgery and anesthesia. At trial, experts testified Carlos suffered a brain injury due to a lack of oxygen during surgery.
The jury found in Carlos’ favor and found the hospital and its anesthesia provider, U.S. Anesthesia Partners, negligent.
