A jury in Tarrant County decided a case in favor of Giovanni Homes Corp., a developer in the Arlington Area, against Oncor Electric Delivery. The civil lawsuit was in regard to a piece of land purchased by Giovanni Homes. A power line was in the way of development, and Oncor signed a contract agreeing to remove it, but failed to do so for almost two years. As a result, the developer was forced to delay production.
Attorney Charla Aldous and her team at the Aldous \ Walker represented Giovanni Homes. The result was a reward of over $1.1 million in damages plus $578,340 in legal fees.
