Our Impact
A Legacy of Legal Victories
At Aldous \ Walker LLP, we’re passionate about changing laws and changing lives.
If you don’t believe us, just look at that photograph. It’s a picture of Aldous \ Walker client Brendan Higgins with Charla. Really – how often do you see a client display that kind of emotion for his attorney?
As we like to say, if you don’t feel this way about your lawyer, maybe you haven’t found the right lawyer yet.
That’s what it means to have an impact.
During our time in practice, we have been fortunate to earn the trust of incredible clients, communities, and colleagues who turn to us for help with complex and consequential cases. From high-profile and high-stakes claims to litigation against powerful institutions and adversaries, we’ve made it our mission to give those we represent our all. And with our clients’ help, we’ve made a real impact.
Take a look at some of the representative cases where our firm has helped make a difference.
Child Sex Abuse Settlement Against Jesuit Prep School
In April 2022, Aldous \ Walker LLP successfully settled a lawsuit on behalf of nearly a dozen survivors who were sexually abused as minors by priests and religious leaders at the Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas.
The Jesuit Prep case was a fight that proved vital to ensuring accountability, producing change, and protecting future generations of children. It was also a victory that would have been impossible without the survivors who courageously stepped forward to make their voices heard decades after their abuse.
The impact of this case can be felt throughout our community and in Jesuit Dallas’ renewed focus on upholding policies intended to protect students from abuse in environments meant to be safe. It’s also readily apparent in the attorney-client bonds we’ve created – bonds like the one between Charla Aldous and Brendan Higgins.
We are forever grateful for the trust Mr. Higgins and our clients placed in us to help them through this important journey, and we will always be inspired by their bravery.
