Injured Child & Family Achieve Settlement Against Applebee’s

Our Dallas trial lawyers at the Aldous \ Walker represented Abdallah Khader—now age six—and his family in a case against Applebee’s. The child was injured in a car accident in Arlington after a drunk driver rear-ended their vehicle, according to the criminal allegations against him. The driver of the second car, Stewart Richardson, had a blood alcohol content of three times the legal limit at the time of the accident.

The family filed a lawsuit against the Applebee’s in Mansfield that served Stewart Richardson too much alcohol. They sought more than $10 million for medical expenses and ongoing care for Abdallah, who sustained injuries to 80% of his brain in the accident and now requires 24 / 7 care.

Our Dallas trial lawyers at the Aldous \ Walker represented the Khader family. The case settled in an undisclosed out of court settlement. Stewart Richardson still faces criminal charges.
