In an article published in The Wall Street Journal on November 5, 2013, Dallas trial lawyer Charla Aldous is quoted in connection with a deadly train wreck that occurred near Midland, Texas. The train was moving at about 62 miles per hour when it collided with a parade honoring wounded former service members.
Ms. Aldous is representing Catherine Stouffer, whose husband was killed in the crash, in her lawsuit. Ms. Stouffer’s husband was one of the wounded veterans on board the float in a parade for wounded veterans.
The Wall Street Journal quoted Ms. Aldous as blaming a report from the National Transportation Safety Board, which failed to look into evidence showing that railway crossing bells and lights were not properly working.
In the article, Ms. Aldous is quoted as saying: “These deceased veterans deserved from the government they honorably served an accurate and complete investigation into this tragedy, which they did not get.”
